Silverchip WIN the Business Fives March Charity E-Sports Tournament

In March, 58 companies from across the UK gathered online to take part in the biggest Corporate Esports tournament to date. The competition was separated across five different tournaments – Call of Duty: Warzone, Cold War, Modern Warfare, and FIFA. The event generated £3,920 for chosen charities.

Our esports team was crowned victorious in the Warzone tournament, taking home £350 for our chosen charity, The Christie. This takes our fundraising prizes total to £850 having won the Business Esports November event and been runners-up in January.

The Christie is particularly close to our hearts with our very own e-sport champion gamer and developer, Seb, who was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma back in 2016.

The team faced tough competition from the likes of Cashflows and UK Meds but secured overall bragging rights to go with their top prize donations in the respective specialist fields.

The standard of play was incredibly high, with spectators and supporting colleagues able to follow the player's live streams and highlights from companies involved.

A fantastic effort from all teams involved, well done all!
